My Eye

Eye reflection

We learned that the eye has many important parts and without certain things we could not see. The pupil is the dark hole in the middle of your eye and it lets light in your eye. When it’s dark, your pupil gets bigger to let in more light and when it’s light out your pupil gets smaller to block out some of the light. The colored part outside of your pupil is your iris which is a muscle that makes your pupil bigger or smaller and it also blocks the light. Over the iris and pupil is the Cornea which is a clear protection layer that help block out sunlight. We also learned that the light comes in through the lens then the retina picks it up and sends it to the optic nerve, which sends it to the brain. We took a picture of our eye, then we went to Pixlr Express and we labeled the picture of our eye.

4-PS4-2.Develop a model to describe that light reflecting from objects and entering the eye allows objects to be seen. (This was the introductory activity.)
